About

Podcast legacy, modern app development.

GeekTechLive originally ran from 2009 to 2017 as a podcast and blog, backed by a strong social media presence. The relaunch is focused on building and publishing apps while bringing the content side back online.

About Chris

Chris Favero headshot
Podcast-era to indie-dev era: still building, still geeking out.

I am Chris Favero, a longtime tech enthusiast, former podcaster, and now a solo indie app developer building practical products one release at a time.

GeekTechLive reflects both sides of my background: media and community roots, paired with focused software development in the Apple ecosystem and on the web.

Current Focus

I am a one-person indie development shop. I build GeekTechLive on my own time during nights and weekends, with a practical focus on the Apple ecosystem plus targeted web development.

My release style is iterative: minor updates every week as features stabilize, with StackGarden as the first priority to ship to the App Store. StackGarden is currently in TestFlight beta while I continue to tune the gameplay loop and polish the overall experience.

After StackGarden ships, my next priorities are to move Bedhead Garden Planner to beta-level readiness and complete the core Tradeoff build so it can move out of alpha.

Roadmap

Now: StackGarden (TestFlight beta to App Store release)

Next: Bedhead Garden Planner (advance to beta testing)

Later: Tradeoff (finish core build and exit alpha)

Blog posts and newsletter content remain part of the plan, and I fit those in as development time allows.

Cosplay & Creative Projects

I have always enjoyed cosplay and creative builds. It is a big part of how I think about design, storytelling, and details that make a project memorable.
