A watch deck for the whole sky.

Live NASA, NOAA and USGS data on one screen. The ISS overhead, the sun misbehaving, rocks swinging past Earth.

══ ABOUT ══

Observatory pulls thirty-plus live feeds into four consoles and puts them on a spinning globe. Earthquakes, wildfires, storms, solar wind, near-Earth asteroids, launches. All of it updating while you watch.

It started as a port of cosmo-tui, a gorgeous terminal dashboard for NASA's open APIs. I wanted that same feeling in a browser, dressed like a night-watch deck on a space station.

It's honest about its data. If a feed goes stale or comes back empty, the header says DEGRADED instead of pretending everything is LIVE.

Inspired by and ported from cosmo-tui by Rahul Tomar .

══ ON THE BOARD ══

  • 01

    Four consoles

Earth, Sun, Sky and Orbit. Hazards, space weather, planets and tracking, each with its own layers.

  • 02

    ISS in real time

Orbit math runs right in the browser, so the station's position updates several times a second.

  • 03

    Thirty-plus sources

NASA, NOAA, USGS, JPL and more. EONET events, DONKI, Sentry impact risk, fireballs, APOD.

  • 04

    Keys stay server-side

Every API call goes through an edge proxy with caching. Nothing secret reaches your browser.
